About Sarasota County Extension
Cooperative Extension is a partnership between the University of Florida's Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (UF/IFAS) (through the University of Florida Extension), the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and Sarasota County Government to provide scientific knowledge and expertise on subjects related to agricultural, human, and natural resources to sustain and enhance the quality of life for the residents of Sarasota County.
The UF/IFAS Sarasota County Extension and its team of professional educators and staff address the needs of the community by providing practical, research-based educational and information services to Sarasota County residents.
Our Sarasota County office is located at 6700 Clark Road, Sarasota, FL 34241. Our business hours are Monday through Friday from 8 am until 5 pm. Our Master Gardener Help Desk is open from 9 am to 12 pm, then from 1 pm until 4 pm, Monday through Friday. You may call our office at 941-861-5000, ask for Extension.
