Sarasota County 4-H Shines in Oklahoma!
Members of the Mini Hooves 4-H Club took their show on the road and came back winners at 2009 AMHA Nationals in Oklahoma. These kids got national champions, reserve national champions, top-5's, top-10's… and more!
The purpose of the 4-H horse program is to provide young people an opportunity to participate in a series of activities designed to improve citizenship, sportsmanship, horsemanship, character, competitive spirit, discipline, and responsibility while creating an atmosphere for learning and awareness of the life about us.

Sarasota County 4-H Fishing Tournaments
4-H will host saltwater fishing tournaments on June 12th from 10-12noon at Hart's Landing in Sarasota and on July 16th from 10-12noon at Hart's Landing. These tournaments will be open to all youth ages 5-18 years of age. Prizes wil be awarded for the most fish caught and the largest fish caught. Participants should bring their own bait and fishing gear. Contact Keith Wilson at 861-9818 for further details.
State Fair Hay Bail Decorating Contest
We are so proud of all of them!!! There were 50 entrants, they picked 11 to enter and we placed 4th!
